The Southeast Georgia Region has access to a huge pool of potential employees and has several training institutions (at all levels of education) to provide your business with a continual pipeline of qualified employees.

Over 5,400 students are enrolled in College of Coastal Georgia and Coastal Pines Technical College in the region.  These institutions award almost 1,600 degrees and certificates each year.  The State of Georgia HOPE scholarship program allows many students to obtain a degree or certification tuition free!

Georgia Southern University

Georgia Southern University is definitely leading the way in advanced manufacturing. ‘Southern’ is one of the few schools in the entire U.S. to have an advanced level degree in Mechatronics. In addition to Mechatronics, Southern has several advanced level degrees and certification programs in commercial and industrial engineering.

College of Coastal Georgia

The College of Coastal Georgia is a four year college offering degree in a variety of subjects, including business, education, and healthcare. The College of Coastal Georgia has an extremely unique program that is of interest to business and industry. The degree program can accept technical training, or Associate’s Degrees, in place of the first two year’s of a Bachelor’s Degree. The program is designed to take your best employees and give them the skills and knowledge to take their career to the next level and lead your company forward.

Coastal Pines Technical College

Coastal Pines Technical College serves the six counties that make up the Southeast Georgia Region and have campuses conveniently located throughout. Golden Isles College and Career Academy

Golden Isles College and Career Academy is a public charter school in Glynn County that has 18 vocational programs (aka Career Pathways). The Career Academy is located directly across from the Brunswick-Golden Isles Airport and adjacent to the Coastal Pines Technical College’s Brunswick Campus. Graduates from the Golden Isles College Career Academy of a huge jump start on skills that are required in the workplace – including soft skills.

Georgia Department of Labor

The Georgia Department of Labor, in coordination with regional DoL partners, is available to assist with general and specialized hiring assistance. This includes posting job notices, collecting and screening applications and/or resumes. Provides interview space, schedules interviews and hosts job fairs. The Department of Labor can work in concert with NSB Kings Bay Fleet and Family Support Services to broaden hiring service outreach to include transitioning military and spouses. Coastal Workforce Investment Board

The Coastal Workforce Investment Board (CWIB) provides employment training services including but not limited to, on-the-job training assistance through the Workforce Investment and Opportunities Act (WIOA). Camden County is served by the Coastal Workforce Investment Board with a local office in Kingsland, Georgia. Camden County Joint Development Authority will work with company representatives and the CWIB staff to determine specific opportunities for workforce/employment training needs.  More information can be found at http://www.coastalworkforceservices.org/.

QuickStart Employee Training

QuickStart is Georgia’s nationally ranked employee training program. QuickStart, provides customized training for new employees in skill-based jobs at no cost to qualifying companies. This training is based on a thorough evaluation of business/industry needs. This training program is given to the company for the company to use in its future operations. The provision of training space, instructors, and all materials required for training purposes provides countless savings in training costs to the company.
